Instance Lifecycle Management

Manage your GPU instances through start, stop, hibernate, restore, reboot, and delete operations. All operations execute immediately after confirmation.

Start Instance

Power on a stopped instance to make it operational.

How to Start:

Navigate to Dashboard and select the instance from the VM selector dropdown

Click Start VM in VM Actions section

Confirm in the modal

Duration: 2-5 minutes (SHUTOFF → STARTING → RUNNING)

Stop Instance

Shut down a running instance. All running processes are terminated.
How to Stop:

Navigate to Dashboard and select the instance from the VM selector dropdown
Click Stop VM in VM Actions section
Confirm in the modal

Duration: 1-3 minutes (RUNNING → STOPPING → SHUTOFF)

Troubleshooting: Instance still running after stop
In rare cases, the instance may remain in RUNNING status after initiating a stop. If the status does not transition to STOPPING or SHUTOFF within 3 minutes, return to the Dashboard and initiate the stop action again. If the instance remains in RUNNING status after multiple stop attempts, contact support with your instance ID.

Hibernate Instance

Save the instance state to disk and suspend it. Hibernation stops compute billing while preserving your running environment, including open applications and in-memory data.

How to Hibernate:

Navigate to Dashboard and select the instance from the VM selector dropdown

Click Hibernate VM in VM Actions section

Confirm in the modal

Duration: 3-10 minutes (RUNNING/SHUTOFF → HIBERNATING → HIBERNATED)

Restore Hibernated Instance

Resume a hibernated instance to its previous running state.

How to Restore:

Navigate to Dashboard and select the instance from the VM selector dropdown

Click Restore VM in VM Actions section

Confirm in the modal

Duration: 3-5 minutes (HIBERNATED → RESTORING → RUNNING)

Reboot Instance

Restart a running instance to apply updates or resolve issues.

How to Reboot:

Navigate to Dashboard and select the instance from the VM selector dropdown

Click Reboot VM in VM Actions section

Confirm in the modal

Duration: 3-5 minutes (RUNNING → REBOOTING → RUNNING)

For advanced region instances, use Stop then Start instead.

Delete Instance

Permanently remove an instance and free all resources.

How to Delete:

Navigate to Dashboard

If the instance you want to delete is not already selected, click the VM selector dropdown and select the target instance

Click Delete VM in the VM Actions section on the Dashboard

Confirm deletion in the confirmation modal

Duration: 1-2 minutes
