Creating a Firewall
Access Firewall Management
Navigate to Firewalls from the main dashboard menu
Click Create Firewall
Click the Create Firewall button in the top-right corner
Configure Firewall Details
Name (required)Length: 3-30 characters Allowed: Letters (a-z, A-Z), numbers (0-9), hyphens (-), underscores (_), periods (.) Cannot start or end with hyphen or underscore Must be unique within CANADA-1 region Region (required) Select: CANADA-1 Only available option for firewalls Description (optional) Maximum 255 characters Add context about firewall purpose
Review and Create
Verify your configuration and click Create FirewallThe firewall appears in your firewalls list with status "SUCCESS"

Select Firewall
Click on any firewall from your firewalls list
Review Information
View complete firewall configuration:Overview: Firewall ID, name, description Region and status Creation timestamp Rules Tab: All configured security rules Rule direction, protocol, ports Remote IP ranges Attached VMs Tab: All instances using this firewall Instance names and IDs Instance status Attachment status
Deleting a Firewall
Verify No Attachments
Before deletion, ensure the firewall has no attached instancesIf instances are attached: Delete the firewall (auto-detaches from all instances) Attachments are automatically removed
Initiate Deletion
Click the Delete button next to the firewall
Confirm Deletion
Review the confirmation prompt showing:Firewall name being deleted Warning about permanence Click Delete to confirm
